"Master & Servant"

Remember this old Depeche Mode tune?

There's a new game

We like to play you see

A game with added reality

You treat me like a dog

Get me down on my knees

We call it master and servant

We call it master and servant

It's a lot like life

This play between the sheets

With you on top and me underneath

Forget all about equality

Let's play master and servant

Let's play master and servant

It's a lot like life

And that's what's appealing

If you despise that throwaway feeling

From disposable fun

Then this is the one

Domination's the name of the game

In bed or in life

They're both just the same

Except in one you're fulfilled

At the end of the day

Let's play master and servant

Let's play master and servant

Let's play master and servant

Come on master and servant

.... so it appears the Peter MacKay and Condi Rice will just let bygones by bygones and "agree to disagree" over the Arar scandal. Isn't that special?

I guess that's just peachy. I mean why should the illegal US detainment of a Canadian National who is subsequently forcibly deported by the US to a third country without the knowledge of the Canadian Government and then tortured mercilessly based on faulty US intelligence by Authorities in that third Country (Syria, the most fun-loving Arab democracy of them all!) for a full year warrant any stiff diplomatic rebuke of the United States Government by the Government of Canada ?

We need to sell our beef don't 'ya know?

On top of it all, the secret conspiracy called "deep integration" continues against this sordid and disgusting backdrop.

It's fine for Mr. Sell-out to agree with Ms. Rotti - which is, in effect, what he's doing with that mealy-mouthed rollover - is that both Maher Arar and his brother did the bulk of their two different businesses in the US and are effectively unemployed because of the US blacklist.

Why let a little torture get in the way of a sick, co-dependent relationship?

As for our horse-faced Minister of Foreign "Affairs" and his tedious pas-de-deux with Condi--I think we all know who's wearing the pants in that dubious dyad.

Never let reality get in the way of your narrow-minded and la-la view of life, eh?

Neither McKay, not a Liberal or NDP FA Minister, or even YOU, could get the US to admit they mad a mistake (at a minimum) in the Arrar case. Just won't happen. Behind this is all the other rendition and imprisonment cases the US hads carried out, and they are worried that an admission in the Arar case could open the floodgates, etc.

So grow up. And for posters using words like "Ms. Rotti" and "horse-faced", that really tells everyone who the true intolerants, closed-minded and prejudiced people are in this story.

What a bunch of mututally sick and immature people.

So we shouldn't demand fair & decent treatment from a Sister Democracy merely because we have interests and they are being stubborn?

Spurious at best, Sir.

And you know it - or at least should know it ...

I am non-partisan, but above all else I am CANADIAN first.

MacKay acts like a giddy schoolgirl in the presence of Condi Rice - and it is truly embarassing.
